Terms of Service
Last updated: February 1, 2026
By accessing https://thumbnaildownloads.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
1. What This Service Does
Thumbnail Downloads is a free utility that reads the video ID from a YouTube link you provide and displays the publicly available thumbnail images that Google hosts for that video. We do not store, re-host, modify, or claim ownership of any image. No account is required and no fee is charged.
2. Permitted Use
You may use images obtained through this site for purposes such as:
- Personal reference and offline viewing.
- Competitor and market research on thumbnail design.
- Educational material, presentations, and academic work.
- Criticism, review, or commentary that qualifies as fair use in your jurisdiction.
3. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Re-upload another creator's thumbnail as the cover of your own video.
- Sell, license, or commercially redistribute images you did not create.
- Use the service in a way that infringes copyright, trademark, or publicity rights.
- Run automated scripts, scrapers, or bots against this site, or attempt to overload, disable, or reverse-engineer it.
- Use the site to collect material that is unlawful in your country.
4. Intellectual Property
All thumbnails remain the property of their respective owners — normally the channel that uploaded the video. This service grants you no rights whatsoever in that material. Determining whether your intended use is lawful is your responsibility, not ours. The site's own design, text, and code remain our property.
5. No Affiliation With YouTube
This website is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google LLC. YouTube™ is a registered trademark of Google LLC. Your use of YouTube itself remains subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service.
6. Availability and Accuracy
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every resolution exists for every video — the 1280×720 file, for instance, only exists when the creator uploaded a custom high-resolution thumbnail. We may change or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, including copyright claims brought against you by a third party as a result of how you used a downloaded image.
8. Third-Party Links and Advertising
The site displays advertising and may link to external pages. We do not control third-party content and are not responsible for it. How advertising affects your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised at any time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact
